We have a fun filled month ahead!  Please pay attention to the school calendar included on this email.  I look forward to seeing you all at spring conferences on March 17 and March 18.  This is such an important time to check in with your child’s teacher and support staff.  Every child at Gateway has unique passions, interests, strengths, and needs that we are committed to supporting. 

Did you know that the Colorado Department of Education has started releasing new educational standards for all students in Colorado public schools? Our staff will be spending a lot of time this spring and summer aligning curriculum, developing plans, etc. with these new standards. You can find them on the C.D.E. website: www.cde.state.co.us

Where are we with the state and local school budget?  I really appreciate all of the interest many of you have expressed with this process.  The committees have been working hard and have generated some very interesting and thoughtful recommendations.
