NO EVENING PERFORMANCE
Tuesday, April 20: 4th Grade to Symphony
We would like to thank The Ute Pass Symphony Guild who has arranged with the Philharmonic for our 4th grade students to be able to attend the Spring Young People's Concert since the students were snowed out of the Fall Concert. The Philharmonic is providing the tickets and the school district will pay for the buses. The fourth graders will leave school at 10:00 for the performance at 11:00. They will need to bring a sack lunch, and we will be having a picnic at a park. Please watch for the permission slip and more information which will be sent home with the 4th graders and Intermediate Cottage School students.
Thursday, April 29: 4th and 5th Choir Concert at Columbine with the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale and the Summit and Columbine Choirs, 6:30 pm, Columbine Gym.
The Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale will present an assembly for the Gateway Students in the morning, followed by a workshop at Columbine Elementary School for all the Choir Students at 1:00 pm. The workshop will also include Columbine and Summit Choirs. The Chorale staff will teach some new songs, choreography, and team building activities, with time for a break and recess for which the students may bring a snack. Students should also plan to bring a bottle of water for the day. A pizza party will be held for all the students at 5:15 pm followed by the concert at 6:30 pm. The concert will last about 45 min., so I hope you will be able to attend. It should be a fun day, and a wonderful opportunity for our Gateway choir students to work with the excellent music staff from the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale.
